Ushio super high pressure mercury lamps are designed for use in the ultraviolet wavelength region, particularly at 436, 405, and 365nm.  These lamps feature long life at a stable radiant power, and since their arc size closely approximates a point light source, the light they emit can be easily be concentrated or dispersed to achieve the uniform illuminating distribution required in optical systems.
