SOS Notes About EJG Bulb Removal and Replacement:
When replacing a EJG lamp always wait for the lamp to cool down within the fixture before removing it. Halogen lamps get extremely hot and can cause severe burning if touched while in operation or immediately afterward. Take the lamp out by using a cloth that provides some insulation from the heat. When removing an EJG from the fixture get as close as possible to the base before removing from the socket. Take extra care when you take the new bulb out of the packaging and do not touch the glass. Use gloves or a cloth to insert the lamp into the EJG socket. The oil from your skin makes the glass super heat and causes early EJG lamp failure.
