Short Arc Mercury / Xenon
Mercury / Xenon short arc lamps between 200 and 8,000 watts are used primarily
as a light source in the manufacture of microchips, Liquid Crystal
Displays (LCD) and Printed Circuit Boards (PCB). These lamps are used
in the semiconductor industry because of their strong radiation in the
blue, violet and ultraviolet spectral range. Lower wattage Mercury / Xenon lamps are used in microscopy in many high intensity illuminators. Other applications are in follow spot applications.
