Black Light Products The UV light produced by black lights, though invisible to human eyes, is absorbed by fluorescent colors and re-emitted in the visible spectrum much brighter than a normal color. The black light that most people are familiar with is black light blue or BLB fluorescent tubes. They are the kind used in special effects or Halloween which excite certain types of pigments. Black light bulbs (BLB) are used in theatre and in cosmic bowling applications too. The other type of black light is a BL light bulb which is used for various kinds of exposure in industrial processes and other applications.
